Part A
1. Outline the inequalities experienced by people who belong to your chosen group.
Inequalities experienced by people who are disabled may include, when applying for a job, they have less chance than others due to their disability, people act differently around disabled people because of their differences, and children with disabilities sometimes are bullied at school.

2.Identify Three community service groups or businesses that provide support for those affected by the inequalities. What support do they provide? Are any of the services unique in the support they provide?
Dont DIS my ABILITY is an organisation that supports people with disabilities by supporting them in areas such as careers, special facilities, personal assistance, skill development, therapy and advocacy and information. The AFFORD ( Australian Foundation For Disabled) also helps disabled people by supporting people in establishing their goals. Dream Foundation supports disabled people in having dreams and aspirations just like everyone should. I believe Dream Foundation is unique in what it does because many organisations in the world aim to help disabled people in a financial way. Dream Foundation aims on their dreams, helping them mentally and spiritually.

3. What are some reasons why other may discriminate against people who belong to this group? suggest three things that you can do to reduce this discrimination. Write an action plan for one, detailing what steps you can take to reduce discrimination, who can you ask to support you and how to raise awareness with you school about stopping the discrimination.
Others may discrimination against disabled people because they are different from others and therefore seen "not normal." People may also discriminate against people with disabilities because of the disability that person has.
Actions i can take to reduce the discrimination are: creating a group that supports people with disabilities that are being discriminated against, creating a mini reflection to post on the internet and arrange for a guest speaker to attend schools to make students aware.
Action Plan for Creating a group my school community and local community
- gather my friends to help me make the group grow
- create posters promoting the group as well as outline the effects discrimination has on disabled people.
- search for a venue where the group can meet up every week to discuss about further action as well as listening to each others stories and helping each other get through the discrimination. Also discuss ways of preventing it from happening again.
To support me will be my friends, family, school, local community. To raise awareness in my school about the discrimination, I will start by discussing this issue with my school principal and hopefully she can speak to the students at our next school assembly as well as arrange a guest speaker to come and speak to the girls.
